The GMC DW950 which usually spawns in the north east of the map can be used as a refueling and repairing checkpoint in the initial stages of the route.ĭue to the fact that the log carts require a pickup truck to collect, there is no difference between the normal strategy and one star for this map. The player can then refuel and deliver the south eastern log cart to the lumber mill, and finally collect the log cart near the starting location and deliver that. The ideal strategy is to take a counter clockwise loop of the watchpoints, collecting both log carts in the south east of the map (towing one and winching the other) and delivering them to the lumber mill. It is interesting to note that completing this level will automatically grant the achievement "I have All I Need" (Finish a level without changing any vehicle addons in Single Player mode), as there is no garage to change parts.ĭue to the fact that the small log carts can only be attached to pickup trucks, such as the Ford F-150 and Chevrolet NAPCO 3100, there is virtually no point in taking trucks other than these into the map, as they can only serve as repair or fuel trucks. Rocky hills contains no log kiosks or scavenge locations, and instead requires the player to collect Loaded log carts which are scattered around the map, each worth 2 loading points. Rocky Hills contains very few roads, and as such requires significant offroading over tough terrain to succeed.
Lighter trucks typically will have around 5 gears while larger trucks like the D-535 and E-7310 only feature 3 gears as they are spec'd for max torque output with little care for efficiency and speed. Rocky Hills is a map in the Old-Timers DLC. Gearbox's in Spintires and Mudrunner feature a different number of ranges depending on the vehicle.
